Margaret McNamara Scholarships for Developing Country Women in Education, 2024

The Margaret McNamara Educational Grants scholarship programme was created to assist deserving women from developing nations in pursuing higher education to provide them with better and more prosperous lives. Both American and Canadian institutions will be able to apply for the awards.

Funds will be made available to the exceptional women who have been chosen to help them further their education and develop as leaders. Women who intend to return to their home countries or other developing nations after receiving their degrees to work towards bettering the lives of women and children will be eligible for education grants of up to $15,000.

Regardless of nationality, all chosen applicants will be eligible for the educational stipend valued at about $15,000.

Margaret McNamara  Scholarship Programme Requirements for Eligibility

• Applicants for the scholarship cannot be younger than 25 years of age.

• The candidates have to be nationals of the nations that qualify.

• To apply for a scholarship, a candidate must be accepted into a recognised educational institution.

• The candidates cannot be married to an employee of the Inter-American Development Bank or the World Bank Group, the International Monetary Fund

• In order to pursue a full-time degree programme, the applicants must be accepted.

• The candidates must plan to pursue their full-time degree programmes for a minimum of six months or one academic semester.

• The candidates must plan to graduate in no more than 2.5 years.

• Neither US citizenship nor permanent residency (green cards) nor Canadian citizenship nor landed immigrant status may be held by the candidates.

• Proof of identity (ID)

• Very recent documentation of the university’s formal registration.

• Recent official transcripts or reports from universities

• The page containing the study permit or visa application inside a valid passport

• First page of the applicant’s passport with a clear photo
