In 2020, I encountered similar issues on my school fees payment and the necessary procedure to follow to make my school easier for me. I have gathered this year-long experience in this article so you wouldn’t make the same mistakes I made in 2020.

What is the meaning of IJMB?

IJMB is an advanced learning program that is directed by Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria with other bodies in different tertiary institutions and learning centers in the country. The program aims to provide an applicant opportunities and hope to get admission into conventional degree programs at Nigerian universities of their choice.

IJMB serves as a platform to secure admission to higher education institutions, as it is approved by the federal government. Applicants would get access to 200 Level via direct entry with a high chance of admission. The program has become widespread across federal, state and private universities in Nigeria.

How Does IJMB 2024 Work?

As a future IJMB candidate, you are eligible to choose 3 courses or subjects that are relevant to the areas you desire to study at any choice of your university. There are different learning centers for candidates to study at an allotted period, and some required number of months before proceeding to write a final examination. For a candidate to get into 200 level, it would be required to obtain a minimum of 5 scores on their IJMB test. Successful applicants will then use their result to apply at any universities after completing the program in order to secure admission to any Nigeria universities and begin at 200 Level program via Direct Entry.

IJMB Program Duration

As it stands, the normal duration for an IJMB program runs 9 months. While lectures are to start between May and April after which it is run for a whole year to complete the program. IJMB exams always begin their exam around January or the beginning of February in the following year, and registration starts around November and starts again in the following year.
