Hawaii Pacific University in USA is offering the 50% Academic Merit Awards to high achieving students who are interested in pursuing a degree program at the Institution.

At HPU, scholars will study and learn from instructors who are professionals in face-to-face teaching and online settings, making the learning experience seamless.

International undergraduate freshman and transfer candidates are given consideration for academic merit awards at the period of admission based on academic aptitudes. Academic merit awards are applied towards tuition. To determine academic merit awards eligibility, please complete an application for undergraduate admission. No separate scholarship application is required. Candidates will be informed, at the period of admission, whether or not an academic merit scholarship award has been granted.

Merit-based scholarships do not require an application for financial aid. However, the school strongly encourages merit award applicants to fill out the FAFSA if they think they will need financial assistance in addition to their merit award. All merit award beneficiaries who have submitted the FAFSA will also be given consideration for any need-based assistance for which they are eligible for beyond the value of the merit award.  You will be informed, at the moment of admission, whether or not you have been granted an academic merit scholarship award.

Candidates for this scholarship award have to be new full-time degree-seeking international candidates planning to go to the US on a student visa. This award chance does not cover transfer, visiting, or exchange students.

Athletic Scholarships

Hawaii Pacific University is an associate of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II and plays in the group’s Pacific West Conference, the PacWest. They have 14 competitive sports in aggregate; 6 Men’s teams and 8 Women’s teams. A limited amount of athletic scholarship awards are obtainable upon the decision of the sport’s head coach.

Transfer Merit Scholarship

Transfer student candidates are given consideration for academic merit awards at the time of admission on the basis of academic abilities. Academic merit scholarships are applied towards tuition. Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

Every year HPU, takes in members of Phi Theta Kappa into the incoming transfer class. A Phi Theta Kappa scholarship award will be granted to qualified community college transfer candidates who presently possess active membership:

  • Fall 2022 enrollment – $5,000 Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

At least 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale and 45 transferable credit hours are desired.
The scholarship is awarded prior to first-time enrollment and is renewable for a second year.
The Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship award is granted in addition to merit scholarship awards.

A recommendation and evidence of present membership by a chapter adviser are needed. Part-time candidates and candidates with past bachelor’s degrees are not qualified.

Awards are on the basis of a variety of conditions based on the type of scholarship award and are not based on financial requirements.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL SCHOLARSHIPS ARE RENEWABLE IF REQUIRED ACADEMIC STANDING AND GRADE POINT AVERAGE ARE MAINTAINED.
